Don't Use this Extended Car Warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I feel like I have been scammed. I've had this warranty for about 5 months now and had to file a claim for my transmission.

After about 2 weeks of going back and forth with the inspector I get denied because my PAST MAINTAINCE RECORDS were not complete. My last transmission maintaince did not include everything the car manufactor recommended, (even if it was not needed), so the claim was denied. I feel this should have been included in the list of EXCLUSIONS that are so promanately pointed out and not hidden in the mumbo-jumbo of the rest of the contract.

Also, I didn't get my contract until over 3 months later, after having to request twice. Unless you have a car that has had each and every thing that the manufacturer recommends, (needed or not), then don't get this warranty.

Scammed by them

Endurance Warranty Services - Scammed by them

I bought their warranty coverage couple months ago and I asked very direct questions to the salesman on the phone about their coverage and if I would run into any problems on them not covering a repair over a something simple. I was told no they are highly rated and I wouldn't have a issue.

So I bought their Advantage Prime coverage for $170 a month . Well 2 weeks ago my wife's car brake pedal started to get soft. So this past saturday 11-27-22 I took her car into the repair facility Endurance's website recommended.

The manager came back and said the Brake Master cylinder is leaking vacuum into the Brake Booster and the car is very unsafe to drive the way it is and it would cost me $1,100 to fix out of my pocket. I was ok not good but that's why I bought this warranty coverage and the Master Cylinder and Brake Booster are actually covered on the the coverage I bought.

So he calls Endurance to make the claim and start repairs. Endurance denies the claim even though their coverage says it covers the Master Cylinder. Their reasoning is because of some gimmick seals and gasket clause they have writing into their coverage. So because the internal seal inside the Master Cylinder which is really the only area of a Master Cylinder that can fail they denied the claim.

The mechanic tried to explain to the rep twice that the seal is the only thing that could fail on a master cylinder to no avail. When I tried to call and see if I could get anywhere with them. I was told to call back monday customer service is not open to customers on the weekends and only to repair facilities on saturdays.

So I called back Monday and I am told the same thing the mechanic was told and the rep would not budge. I then spoke to the reps Supervisor and got the same answer and even though he said he understood that the seal inside the Master cylinder and the other thing that could good bad on the part the claim will be denied because it's a seal.

When I asked how much extra would it be to add on their separate Seal and Gasket coverage I was told I could not add that one because the car has 176,000 miles on it and the coverage can not be put on a car with 175,000 or more miles. In the end my wife has to drive her car back and forth to work until I can fix it myself. I just hope the brakes don't totally fail until then. I have cancel their service as of this afternoon and have asked for a full refund for all money they have charged me since the day I purchased their coverage as I am very dissatisfied with their customer service and business practices.

They are a complete scam and rip off.

They can deny every claim if they wanted to because pretty much every part on a car as a seal or gasket all the way down to the electrical plugs that plug into the sensors and computers on these cars. Do not by any thing from this company they are a complete rip off.

Original review Jul 01, 2022
Warranty purchased for a 2012 Toyota Venza xle with 190,000 miles in 12.21. Compared to other warranties out there it sells itself and benefits exceed the others which is why it gets **- until you have a problem.

Customer service and membership friendly enough, if you can EVER reach them on the phone (it took me lots of hold time and transfers). Supervisors: displeasure of speaking with 2.
First issue May 2022, no AC. Before diagnostics called Endurance to see if this would be covered. Told yes, included with repair.

Diagnosis by shop: AC compressor and Evaporator both bad. Endurance denied compressor saying that the seals were bad and that isnt covered in my policy. Right, but any vehicle over 200,000 miles will have gasket leaks that arent important. **NOTE: Compressor SEALS are sold only in a kit, WITH a compressor.

The warranty states these are all part of the AC system which IS insured with them. Supervisor states that theres no proof the compressor is not working. His job-make sure the claim is denied. Prior to that, they were going to come to inspect it?!!
All paperwork submitted that day, evaporator repair approved.

Repair takes 2 days. I needed a rental that isnt possible anyway right now, there are NONE. And there was a death in my family through June.
NEXT: Fast forward to 6.21-vehicle is T BONED by a BUS AND totaled, out of state. Not my fault.
Endurance seems nice when called.

Says the warranty can transfer and applied to a different warranty on replacement vehicle, nor will I have to pay for July. NOTE: NEVER offered to cancel policy, only to change after I purchase another vehicle. Then, I remember the $150.00 diagnostic paid out of pocket. This is the reason for this post.
They never paid a penny to any repair or rental AND I WAS DENIED THAT $150.00 diagnostic REFUND.

Instead, offered another free no-pay month? We dont refund diagnostics -quote supervisor #2 in claims after a 1 hour hold time.
Seriously? Plus, maybe the replacement will still be under Manufacturers warranty WOW.
~Check these docs to see what youre getting into. There is extraordinarily little mentioned about totaled vehicles.

And, because I have rental insurance with my regular carrier, They NEVER provided any other benefits with this policy: including rental, towing, oil changes, tires, etc.
This policy was purchased for major repairs on a vehicle I planned to keep for at least 3 more years until the car market improved.

NOT HAPPY!! NO HELP FROM THEM!

Pros:
  • Offer a lot of added benefits l
  • Easy to find a shop approved
  • Contract
Cons:
  • No reimbursement for diagnostic fees as promised

Preferred solution: $150.00 refund for diagnostic fee paid. Not a $100.00 credit for 2 months in the future! Full refund of policy or full transfer to another vehicle with acception for money already paid to this policy.

User's recommendation: Get ready to fight if you ever want them to pay a claim.Worse than health insurance!

I have been waiting for my refund since December and have called several times to speak with a supervisor or a manager. Still, no one has called me back. This is very poor customer service. Endurance should be ashamed of themselves because they are just the biggest scam. I keep getting the run around over and over again.

Lied to me when I was sold the contract

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I own a 2013 BMW 328i convertible, I on Aug 3, 2022, for low oil and oil leak, when the dealer contacted Endurance Warranty Services, L.L.C. they were advised that the oil pan and valve cover gasket was not covered.

On my contact That I on April 4, 2022, purchased an Add-on coverage for Seals & Gaskets. In their contract Section VI. Whats covered C: Eligible Components: Paragraph p. p.

SEALS AND GASKETS: Coverage is provided for the standalone failure of the cylinder head and intake manifold gaskets only. All other leaking and/or failed Seals and Gaskets are not covered as standalone failures and/or repairs and will be replaced only when required in connection with a covered repair, unless You purchased the Seals and Gaskets Option as shown on Your Identification Card and in the Options box on the Application Page of this Contract. (Seals and Gaskets Coverage will expire when the Vehicle reaches one hundred seventy-five thousand (175,000) miles as indicated on the odometer, after which Seals and Gaskets are covered only when required to be replaced in connection with a covered repair) I purchased Seals and Gasket option. I was misled on the contact they say anything to get a sale and not honor their contract.

I was contacted by a manager on Dec 28 from Endurance he kept saying the same thing over and over, I understand the contract, but I was misled by the sales rep. He insulted me by offering a $200 discount on my contract. When the repairs are almost $2000.

They want to pay me $200 so that they will not have to pay the claim. Beware!!

Will not refund my money after I canceled my policy the SAME DAY I bought it.

I bought a policy on Dec 13, 2022 and canceled the very same day because I got a policy much cheaper for same coverage. No hassle refunds? *** All I've had is hassles. They always say it's being decided by upper management but they won't tell me how to connect with them. I found an address for their corperate office so I'm going to try this route. My Lawer send them a letter demanding refund for what I paid to BMW dealer, so far no response from Endurance

Original review Jun 15, 2022
Endurance Warranty wrongfully claim denial
On 02/07/2022 I purchase an extended warranty plan in the amount of $4,217.00 which include a Seal & Gaskets ADD ON coverage. On 6/9/2022 the BMW dealer that always service my car, told me that my car has an oil leak.
The leak is coming from the Valve cover gasket and from the oil filter housing gasket.

Endurance denied the claim because they say Valve Cover gasket is only cover if an internal lubricated part fail, the valve cover gasket it is an internal lubricated part, and the denial of the oil filter housing gasket is not included in the covered parts.

In a first place, In the policy documents there is not a list of covered parts, where state that the OIL FILTER HOUSING SEAL is excluded second in the Seal and Gasket coverage clearly states,
"Provide coverage for the replacement of Seals and Gaskets, designed to prevent the loss of necessary coolants, lubricants and fluids of all listed components" Section E 7.
In addition, the contract states:
Unless You purchased the Seals and Gaskets Option as shown on Your Identification Card and in the Options box
on the Application Page of this Contract. (Seals and Gaskets Coverage will expire
when the Vehicle reaches one hundred seventy-five thousand (175,000) miles as
indicated on the odometer, after which Seals and Gaskets are covered only when
required to be replaced in connection with a covered repair).
Section P.p
The certified Rep from BMW explained based on the policy documents are clearly described as covered, after more than three and half hours on the phone and speaking to more than five people from Endurance, not only denied the claim but also refuse to provide a written report of the reasons for denial my claim.

Oh my, and my claim was denied because I didn't get the gasket warranty.... Truth: they look for any reason to deny a claim. Therefore, there isn't really any security in this warranty

kimfit13

There's a pattern here...in older vehicles: blame it on a gasket, and for those with a gasket add-on coverage, their claim gets denied too. Their job-deny our claims.

OOOO you *** me off Endurance. Thanks for your compassion that I was almost killed too....but, I saved you a payout!!

They find a way to deny most claims

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Endurance Warranty Services - They find a way to deny most claims
Endurance Warranty Services - They find a way to deny most claims - Image 2

They promise everything when selling their policies, but trying to get coverage for any claim that is shown as being covered is like trying to win a court case and just as long in the time it takes to file a claim. They basically try to find a way to deny all claims.

Also, their rules for submitting a claim ONLY via an authorized repair facility further allow them to deny claims that may have been improperly described by the repair facility.

Then, they have no mechanism for disputing the denial of the claim and will not provide you with a written reason for denial.

I have written to them via their email contact page twice over the past few weeks and have yet to receive a single response.

Their policies are very expensive and not worth the paper they are printed on. Save your money and don't buy from them.

Poorest customer experience in 66+yrs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Took our 2015 Hyundai to the dealer because of engine problems. Endurance tried everything in its power to deny the claim.

This included two trips to Texas from Endurance as well as two other requests for "pictures" of the engine components. After two months of this (March thru May), we finally received approval for replacing the engine.

However, Endurance directed the use of an engine that they provided (not one which Hyundai would provide). It was finally delivered and installed on May 15, 2022

Two months with the replacement engine and oil sensor and wiring went "belly up" requiring over $1000 to fix.

Contacted Endurance who once again is doing everything in its power to deny the claim...even though the company is the one who sent the engine with defective parts. Who knows how long that engine sat in a junkyard and/or outside before it was sent to the dealer, i.e., internal parts and wiring would be dried out from climate and nonuse.

Note that the comment from one of the agents was sarcastic "well it ran when it left the dealer didn't it?"

After asking the second agent (one passed me on to another) to speak with a supervisor was sent to a voicemail and no return call!!!

I am now out another month without a vehicle and a pending $1000+ bill

I own a 2005 Subaru Forester X. At the time of purchasing Endurance Service Plan Extended Warranty, my odometer read 192,032 miles. The sells person never disclosed to me that due to high mileage, there will be certain repairs wouldn't be cover nor did the Administrators/Obligor refuse or deny approval of sales.
